Oklahoma is sending swift water rescue teams and an insurance anti-fraud unit to North Carolina, the state Department of Emergency Management and Gov. Mary Fallin announced Friday. 

Oklahomans are packing up and heading east now that Hurricane Florence has made landfall. 

A Mayes County resident lost a pole barn and some hay in a grass fire Wednesday. An emergency manager said the fire started from some embers that had been dumped outside.

While some are still deciding to stay in their homes, others are scared, they've had enough and want out, especially since it could be weeks before the water recedes. 

Grand River Dam Authority Police Officers are continuing their water rescue efforts Wednesday in the Houston area.

A large amount of water is currently being released from the Eucha Dam after two floodgates were opened, officials said. 

Authorities are in the process of evacuating residents from an RV park at the Chouteau Bend Recreational Area in Mayes County Tuesday morning.
